The stately American Chestnut tree was once an important part of North American forests, but a blight disease has killed out of the wild trees.  A blight free stand of American Chestnut has been identified in Michigan, and we recently were able to obtain seedlings from this area, and now have them nicely established in  #5 gallon air prune pots, and available for sale.

If you are interested in trying to grow some American Chestnut, we’d be happy to show you these vigorous trees.  Our hope is that there may be some natural genetic resistance to the blight that would allow these trees to become handsome specimens of American Chestnut.

We are going to plant a few out on our land and hope you will join us in our attempt to bring the iconic American Chestnut back into a proud place in America’s forests and landscapes.
