Maple Trees
The maple tree with all it’s many varieties continues to be the most popular tree planted. The question that we are asked the most is “What kind of fall color does this one have”. We are showing a few of the popular varieties with the 2008 fall color display here. We have these trees in stock and have several different sizes and price ranges in most varieties.
- Autumn Blaze Maple. The most popular tree on the landscape market! A Freemanii hybrid that exhibits rapid growth rates, drought tolerance, ability to grow in most soils, beautiful fall color and form. 50'-60' in height by 40' in width.
- Celebration Maple. A Freemanii hybird that combines the advantages of both the Silver and the REd Maple - rapid growth, drought tolerance, great fall color and the ability to grow in most soils. A vigorous grower, does well in sun or shade, and is seedless. Height 45' to a width of 20'-25'.
- Autumn Spire. A red maple (rubrum) that is more narrow in stature. 50' in height by 20-25' in width. One of the first maples to change color.
- Firefall Maple. A red maple (rubrum) from northern Minnesota! Branch habit forms a round to oval crown. Height 50' with a 35' width.
- Northwood Red Maple. A red maple (rubrum) from northern Minnesota! Branch habit forms a symmetrical round to oval crown. Height 50' with a 35' width.
- Sienna Glen Maple. A very hardy Freemanii Maple (hybrid) noted for its excellent branching habit that is more compact than other varieties. Height - 50-60' with a 40' width.
