One of the most basic of all perennials is in it’s glory right now!  The daylily.   Whether it’s the old favorites – Stella d’Oro, Happy Returns, Pardon Me, or many of the different newer cultivars – such as Mighty Chestnut, Soft Summer Night or Red Hot Returns, daylilies provide a rainbow of colors, shapes and sizes.

Daylilies are low maintenance perennials that are suitable for all landscapes and climate conditions.   Whether you have a cottage garden theme – or a manicured landscape- daylilies will fit in.   The bloom period is long – some re-bloomers go for several months – and other hybrid daylilies have a shorter bloom cycle.  Beginner gardeners and experienced gardeners – daylilies are a must have for your perennial gardens.
