As we flip our calendars to 2026, the entire team at Knecht’s Nurseries & Landscaping would like to extend our warmest wishes to all. We are truly blessed with great customers, top-notch team members and fantastic vendors.
People often ask what we do over the off season. The real list is longer than what most people are willing to listen to. So, the short answer is rest, review, relaunch.
Rest
Once the plant material is covered, equipment is stored and the last of the leaves are cleaned up, we rest. Spending time with friends and family after a busy season is the best.
Review
We review everything we do- inventory, procedures, staffing…the list is long. This is truly our chance to step back, reflect on the year and figure out how to do it better. We look at inventory and sales, then decide where we need to add more product to have the best variety of hardy plant material possible. We review our growing procedures and plan for improved methods to bring our customers happy and healthy plants. We review staff feedback and look for ways to help our team “grow”.
Relaunch
As the sun gets stronger by late winter and the greenhouses warm, we’re ready to go again. Tags are printed, handbooks complete and deliveries are confirmed. Ready, set, go!
