Hosta – Autumn Frost and Wheee!

These two hosta are both in the line of Proven Winners plants.  They are – winners!

Autumn Frost Hosta
Autumn Frost Hosta

Hosta  ‘Autumn Frost’ PPAF features oval, pointed, frosty blue leaves  with wide bright yellow margins. Margins gradually turn creamy white as the summer progresses.  I have this one planted next to some glacial boulders and deep green Taunton Yew shrubs and it’s spectacular!

I’ve never seen anything quite like Hosta ‘Wheee!’  Hosta ‘Wheee’!

Hosta Wheee!
Hosta Wheee!

makes a 15″ tall x 30″ wide clump with the most ruffled leaves that we’ve ever encountered on a hosta.  Each elongated green leaf is edged with a border of white that resembles a roller coaster track. The unique clumps, which are sure to be an attention getter sports light lavender flowers  in early summer.
