Knecht’s Nurseries and Landscaping congratulates Tracy Bahr for passing the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association (MNLA) Certification Exam! Her new designation as an MNLA Certified Professional is a great accomplishment, and she joins five other MNLA Certified Professionals on our staff. Tracy has always enjoyed working outdoors, and fell in love with plants during her first greenhouse job, over seventeen years ago. It was then that she enrolled in the Dakota County Technical College and took a degree in Landscape Horticulture, with an emphasis in greenhouse operations. I asked Tracy to share some thoughts with us, now that the exam is behind her and the 2018 season grows nigh…
“I am thrilled to be starting my third season at Knecht’s Nurseries. With the support of the Knecht’s management team, I decided to test to become a MNLA Certified Professional. I am the sixth person at Knecht’s to earn this status. Benefits are many and include networking opportunities in the industry, career advancement opportunities, respect and credibility with colleagues and continued education. The nursery and landscape industry is always evolving and it is important to stay current. I look forward to the opportunities before me to stay informed and current on plants, products, pest management, best environmental practices and so much more. Even more, I look forward to applying my knowledge at Knecht’s in both production and customer service.”
