Dragon’s Blood Sedum

I have asked our Retail Manager – Heidi Gervais and Asst. Manager – Paula Kangas – to submit articles on perennials and shrubs that they would like to feature on the web blog. Heidi has submitted the following article:
‘No garden should be without the late season color of Sedums. They bloom late summer to fall and add much needed texture and color to the late season landscape.
Dragon’s Blood is a groundover variety. It has deep green with red edges. The succulent evergreen leaves look great all season long. It’s perfect for any sunny, well drained area and looks especially wonderful when creeping and crawling its way around arocks or boulders. In late summer, the plants are covered in an abundance of crimson star sthaped flower clusters. Dragons Blood is a very hardy lown maintenance perennial that lends itself not only to the garden but also summer container planting as well. Rabbit resistant and it attracts butterflies. The height of Dragon’s Blood at maturity is 4″-6″ high.’
