Spring Bulbs

Daffodils

You need bulbs? We’ve got bulbs!

Fall is here but we’re already dreaming of spring gardens here at Knecht’s. We simply love bulb gardens for the joyful spring color they offer. Not to mention how easy it is to get them going— it’s almost as easy as dropping them in ground and enjoying their blooms for years to come.

Wondering what to plant?

Winter blues melt away when the first green shoots of the snow drops poke their heads out from beneath the snow. Masses of regal tulips and happy daffodils welcome summer’s warmth and provide striking color that can be seen even from a distance. Showy hyacinths perfume the garden with their sweet fragrance. Looking for something a little different? Try an allium like the giant Gladiator Allium or the unique Drumstick Allium.

Create the most impressive spring display by planting bulbs in masses. Staggering a variety of bulbs with different bloom times provides continuous color and texture throughout spring and early summer. Plant them in rich, well-drained soil as temperatures cool in the beginning of fall and on until the first frost so that they can get a root system established before the ground freezes.

Stop on by and take a look at our selection of gorgeous bulbs. Don’t miss the chance to get your hands in the dirt one last time before the long winter!
