The dependable floral display of the very popular, Stella D’Oro, is often the image of daylilies that comes to mind. But, there are seemingly hundreds, if not thousands, of varieties of daylilies to consider, and this makes them anything but common!

While each variety will perform slightly differently, in height, color and bloom, all daylilies share these basic, fantastic traits… They have the ability to grow in just about any soil conditions, they thrive in full sun to part shade, they can be divided every 3-4 years in either the spring or fall and they are not a favorite of rabbits. Try daylilies in mixed beds and borders with sedum, coneflower, monarda and perennial geraniums.
